If a party who signed a business agreement decides to dispute that agreement in court, a notarized contract can help.

Notary publics serve an important role, which is to verify the identity of someone who signs an agreement and attesting to that person’s signature. If a party to a contract objects that he or she was not the person that signed the document, notarization can prove that this person was in fact the person who signed the contract.
